Crane Hire

The customer hires the crane and its operator. Riverside are responsible for ensuring that the crane is tested & certified and the operator is trained & registered with the CITB or similar. The customer is responsible for insurance and all HSE requirements.

Contract Lifting

The customer must supply good, accurate information about the lifting requirement. Riverside will plan, supervise and conduct the lifting operations. Some insurance obligations will be covered by Riverside, however some must be met by the customer.

Management and Supervision

Riverside will plan and/or supervise lifting operations in conjunction with other contractors or the customer's in-house operations.

Consultancy

Riverside will look over and check crane requirements for a specific task. A second opinion, ours being unbiased as we don't have any large cranes, could save hundreds of pounds on specific operations. We look at all cranes available, not just those in a single fleet. As a one-off example, the 400 ton telescopic crane at a specific radius and jib configuration is very comparable with the 800 ton telescopic crane, at around two-thirds the cost.

Machine Removal

Our expertise of machine and equipment removal spreads from the 'run of the mill' 5 or 6 ton lathe, right through the spectrum, up to 35 ton block making machinery and items off quarrying kit, up to 45 tonnes.

In-house, we have a large selection of slings, chains, shackles, man basket, brick forks and machine removal equipment. Any thing we need for a specific task, can normally be made available over night.
